Dial
Calipers: In this instrument, a small gear rack drives a pointer on
a circular dial. The pointer rotates once every inch, tenth of an inch,
or 10 millimeters, allowing for a very accurate and direct reading. The
dial is arranged to be able to rotate beneath the pointer, allowing for
easy "differential" measurements (the measuring of the difference
in size between two objects, or the setting of the dial using a master
object and subsequently being able to read directly the plus-or-minus
variance in size of subsequent objects relative to the master object).
Digital
Calipers: A refinement to the caliper industry, now popular, is the
replacement of the analog dial with an electronic digital display. This
version of the caliper finally allows simply reading the value directly
from a single display. All of our digital calipers can be switched between
Metric and English units, allow users to zero the display at any point
along the slide, allowing the same sort of differential measurements as
with the dial caliper but without the need to read numbers that may be
upside down. Liquid crystal displays are easy to read. It has advantages
such as direct reading, clear display, convenient operation and high efficiency
etc.
Depth
Gauges: Unlike calipers, and other micrometers, which are used to
measure wires, spheres, shafts and holes, a depth gauge typically measures
depths of slots and steps. All of our depth gauges can be switched between
Metric and English units, and users can zero the display at any point
along the slide.
Chucks:
Our self-tightening keyless drill chucks grasp drill bits tightly
and are easy to use. With a keyless chuck, set-up time is greatly accelerated.
Ours feature a black oxide finish, stainless steel, or black and stainless
finish. All knurled barrel and collar for a sure-grip. We carry a wide
range of chucks that can accept bit sizes 1/64" to 3/4".
Centers:
We carry a variety of high performance live centers, including our Super
High- Speed Waterproof Centers, which are designed to hold up under extreme
conditions. We also carry cup centers, which decrease splitting of the
work piece.
Collets:
Our quick change collets come in sets of 7 and 15, with a #2 Morse taper
Milling Chuck and Spanner Wrench in a fitted case. Our collets range in
size from 1/8" to 1". Their extremely accurate, positive grip
is non-marking and secure.
Vises:
A vise, sometimes called the third hand, is an indispensable tool in the
tool room or workshop. Vises are usually mounted on workbenches or similar
firm supports to hold material in place. All of our Vises provide a strong
hold, and are low profile, so they can be used in areas where larger vises
are impractical.
Sanders:
Daytona Precision Tools currently offers two types of Stationary Belt
Sanders. Both are heavy duty, high-performance pieces of equipment. Our
Belt & Wheel Sander and Belt & Disc Sander combinations free up
space by increasing functionality of the tools in your workshop.
Lathes:
Daytona Precision Tools offers a variety of Lathes for the professional,
or weekend hobbyist. Our compact Variable-Speed Mini Lathes and larger
Lathe Machines mount easliy to a workbench or table. We also offer a variety
of optional accessories including chucks, centers,
and collets.
